Here’s a super-slick app. we just noticed via TechCrunch:
“Cozmo.Tv wants to create a TV 2.0 by changing the way you consume online video from a random walk to personalized content. Next week at Always On, they will officially announce the new embeddable video widget they’ve been working on for the past couple of months. The widget functions like an online TV, streaming channels of personalized video content based on the initial preferences set by the widget publisher and the preferences of the viewer.
Publishers seed their widget with the initial channels by adding explicit RSS feeds to video sites or keyword searches run on Cozmo’s video index. Basing channels off of feeds means that a widget can be set up and forgotten, adding content to its channels as new shows appear in the feed. At launch the indexed sites will include videos from YouTube and Blip.tv, but will expand to include Google Video, MySpace, Brightcove, and Break.com.

We wonder what Jeremy thinks about their choice of words..
“Ustream.tv has opened up the format to allow anyone to quickly and easily start broadcasting video live. This is huge. Right now—today—anyone can launch a live Internet television network, complete with scheduled shows, all using the Ustream platform (which is, for now, free). One of Ustream’s key features is that the site allows users to post calendar schedules of upcoming shows—just like a television network. As for revenue, Ustream’s angel investor and acting CEO Chris Yeh has hinted that the site will experiment with various models including advertising and pay-per-view options.”
Umm.. several established examples Adario. Did Chris buy the martini’s?
“To clarify.. we acquired Marratech’s software, not the company.”
According to this article on Mercury News: “As a company, we thrive on casual interactions and spontaneous collaboration,” Douglas Merrill, Google’s vice president of engineering, wrote in the blog post. “So we’re excited about acquiring Marratech’s video conferencing software, which will enable from-the-desktop participation for Googlers in videoconference meetings wherever there’s an Internet connection.” Marratech is owned by Swedish mutual funds, employees, and founders. Google said Marratech’s research and development team will remain in Sweden.
Adobe announced their very own Media Player at the NAB trade show.
“Delivered as a lightweight download, Adobe Media Player delivers innovation for both viewers and content owners. For viewers, Adobe Media Player enables higher quality Flash format playback, the ability to download and view videos offline, ways to discover interesting new shows, full screen playback, one-click viewer ratings, and a powerful Favorites feature that automatically downloads new episodes of favorite TV shows or video podcasts. The player is cross-platform, based on open standards - including RSS and SMIL - and brings viewers the highly desired ability to play the Web’s most popular video format outside of their browser.”
Hmmm.. do people really need another player install. Time will tell.
Ooooh.. this could lead to all kinds of interesting trouble:

Seems more like a typical corporate stunt from the folks over at Turner..
Dabble.com announced it has indexed more than 10 million videos since launching just eight months ago. Dabble has struck data partnerships video hosts of all sizes, providing access to the Web’s available inventory of rich media resources. Dabble’s index collects and keeps a record of where videos are located, descriptions about the video, its creators, what the video is about and its popularity. Users collect and arrange media into play lists which they can organize and share according to specific interests.
“Dabble’s index of over 10 million videos (now growing at 2.5 million NEW videos a month) means users only have to visit one destination to search for video and other rich media. Dabble doesn’t directly host any media; the search engine keeps track of the bookmarks, or links, to wherever the media is stored on the web along with all the rest of the essential details about the media. Dabble users add to this details and notes, correct mistakes and share what’s valuable to them about the media.”
We posted about the companies custom playlists back in July 2006.
OVGuide has quickly grown to become what some consider one of the best online video guide on the Internet. In fact, it was selected by Time Magazine as one of the Top 10 Websites of the Year for 2006.
“There really is no secret to our success…we just listen very closely to what people want and give it to them. We will not list any site that our staff would not personally want to spend hours watching each day. Only a small percentage of sites that we review even make it into the guide. This care is evident in our listing and why people like us so much.”
Now don’t go wandering off into their Adult section during working hours..
