Aspiring Filmmaker Wins Avid Video Contest
Avid has announced the grand prize winner and five runners-up from its video contest that challenged entrants to capture their passions and tell a story, via video, within 60 seconds.
Taking viewers on a cross-country road trip, Brian Sharpe, a 27 year-old independent filmmaker from Chicago, IL, won the grand prize with a timelapse video [.mov] titled “From Chicago to Vegas in 60 Seconds.” As the grand-prize winner, Brian received an all expenses paid trip to the NAB 2006 conference in Las Vegas and a free copy of the latest Avid Xpress Pro software – the award-winning professional film, video and audio editing, effects creation and DVD authoring tool. Avid received more than 200 entries for the video contest.
